I'm using this module to compare different influenza strain names and determine when two names are really the same - e.g. A/CK/HK/Y41/04 is the same as A/Chicken/Hong Kong/Y41/04. Its been working great so far, and I'm happy not to have to reinvent the wheel for this problem.
