You would profit from using this module if you will write a server program for the first time.
There are a large number of modules of this sort out there, and you would be at a loss as to which module is of great use. I, of course, have no silver bullet. My rule of thumb, though, is that if and only if you are a novice at server applications, then the module would come in handy as might have been expected. The fact is that the use of the module itself is too simple; none the less, the module takes aspects of security in consideration.
For the reason above, I'd like to recommend the module while you have no command of writing server applications.
