Have been using this module since its release, and never had an issue. The author is responsive and supportive. Not terribly fast, but coded such that it could become C quite simply.

Seems to work flawlessly on my site. It's just an interface, so that needs to be taken into account. you have to build your own front end. I built one: www.danheller.com/tools/iptc.tar.gz
