Very intuitive, very creative and very light weight. Being able to paste ascii txt into wikis, emails and blogs makes this diagramming tool extremely useful. Less is more and Asciio proves it.
Answer to Evan Carroll:
Thank you for your input. I think your review would have been more helpful if it hadn't been an error report. May I suggest that you re-review the module?
As for the errors you reported,
RT is up at rt.cpan.org/Dist/Display.html?Status=... or you could have send me a mail (my mail address is listed in the module and on my cpan page).
Gtk2::Gdk::Keysyms is part of GTK found here search.cpan.org/~rmcfarla/Gtk2-1.043/ I don't think I need to list it as a dependency but I'll check.
Warning from GTK. The GTK group said they would remove the warning but didn't say when. There is no danger of error. Test will be updated.
Wide character in syswrite at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/File/Slurp.pm line 330. See
File::Slurp doe not support Unicode. The needed change has been listed in the todo for quite a while.
MAKE TEST failed: Illegal seek /usr/local/bin/perl Build --makefile_env_macros 1 test t/001_load. That one beats me! I doubt it has anything to do with Asciio.
I also notice that you are using a rather old version 0.95_01 which is a beta. 1.02.71 is on CPAN. 1.50 is in the queue for release and I'd appreciate beta testers :)
Great for keeping the diagrams with the Perl script. Avoid Visio hell! I've wanted this app for years. Highly recommended.
I saw a demo of this in Oslo, given by the author. Brilliant. If you need to create ASCII charts easily, this is the tool for you.
ASCII Art Visio - it rocks!
